Food journalist, Emma Sterling, is invited to visit her boyfriend's family castle and world-famous vineyard in Bordeaux. Thinking that the family must be local royalty, Emma is surprised to find that the locals despise the Castera family. After digging further into Sean's past, Emma learns that women have disappeared after visiting the castle.

Once Emma peels back the layers of the medieval castle, the family's history and the historic vineyard , she realizes the Castera home is not a castle at all.
