The year is 2200 and the citizens of New York are under control of the government after the Eve

virus eliminated half the population. Who better to name the current downfall of the population

after than the woman once blamed for the devastation of humanity at the dawn of time? Sex is

illegal and conceiving children naturally is banned, unless you are part of the 1% that can afford

to have children. Even then, approval of your genetics from the Factory is required. Every citizen

is required to take the “remedy”, a contraception that suppresses desire and prevents the spread

of Eve. Random blood tests are mandated to ensure citizens are taking the remedy. Those who do

not obey are faced with harrowing consequences.

Books are banned and all material of what life was like before Eve is considered contraband. To

rebuild the population, the country is starting fresh by utilizing a government facility called the

Factory. The Factory expresses to the public that they are working towards a solution that will

eliminate Eve and work toward a “new and improved” society, but clerical Factory worker, Ivy,

knows that this couldn’t be further from the truth. Ivy sneaks into a boarded-up library and

befriends Rowan, the son of the doctor at the Factory. As women continue to disappear, the two

conspire against the scientists at the Factory and devise a plan to expose the evil work of the

Factory.

At work, strange purchase orders come across Ivy’s desk. Some of the items include gallons of

liquid acrylic, industrial chain, a thousand pounds of sausage casing and steel dog bowls. Ivy is

puzzled with the order because dogs and most animals have gone extinct. One day, a random

drug test is ordered and Ivy is taken to the second floor of the Factory, a floor she and other

workers are banned from. Ivy witnesses a strange interaction between the scientists and hears

violent screams echoing from somewhere deep inside the Factory. Curious enough to risk her

own neck, Ivy heeds Rowan’s warning and stops taking the remedy. The Factory releases a

public statement that makes waves across the city, but the groundbreaking developments come

with a devastating price. While the public celebrates the possibility of a better world, Ivy and

Rowan risk everything to destroy the progress the Factory has made.
